Look, anyone who has ACTUALLY used this current version, and has any experience with the original site will tell you that this leaves sooo much to be desired. Dont get me wrong, I love the idea and Ive wanted an app for a long time, but.. Lets just go to a list.
Resolution - its far too fuzzy to be useful beyond a 50x50 mi area. The strike indicators are very small; as you zoom, the icons dont change dynamically to make them stand out from features on the rest of the map. The core reason for blitzorgung is to show an approximate location of a strike that IS VISIBLE. When I get to a level where structures are distinguishable (you can make out a football stadium or large retail outlets, so still fairly far out), I cant differentiate the color of strikes from geographic features and structures.
Options - there is a lot to be desired, the one thing I would fix before anything else is the ability to turn strike sounds off. When a very intense storm is in the area, its a constant clicking bombardment. Im not going to silence the rest of my phone to avoid an annoyance with one app.
Advertised features that dont exist - in the app description, the author mentions the ability to measure linear distance between your location and the location of the most recent strike... That doesnt exist. There is an option to zoom a map based on an area that you predefine, supposedly to notify you / warn you when a strike happens within a set distance of your location. Thats not there either.
So, to the reviewers that said this is "a baller app", or the other 4⭐️ reviews... DID YOU EVEN USE IT? Because if you had, that sure as sh*t wouldnt be the rating you left.
Im not trying to ruin your day app developer, but if you say your app does something, it had better be able to do it... At the very least, partially, or most of the time. I want to support you, but if this is the quality I can expect of this version... Forget about it.
